Ms. Mendoza earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare with a minor in Education from UC Berkeley. Her experience of helping her family members with high school course planning and the college application process solidified her decision to go into counseling to continue helping others. This led her to pursue a masters in Counselor Education with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from San José State University. She has been a school counselor since 2016 and enjoys helping students reach their post-secondary goals. Ms. Mendoza is excited to be a part of the Silver Creek High School community.
Mrs. Nguyen holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Loyola University in New Orleans and initially taught math and Vietnamese before earning a master’s degree in Counseling Education from San Jose State University.
Mrs. Chapman earned her bachelor's in English and teaching credential from San Jose State University, where she also completed her Masters in Education and Pupil Personnel Services Credential. Her passion for counseling developed through her experience teaching English and AVID. Excited to join the Silver Creek community, she is dedicated to helping students navigate their paths to adulthood and higher education.
Ms. Navarro earned her Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Gender and Women’s Studies from UC Berkeley before working as a college adviser there. She then pursued a Master’s in Counselor Education with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from San José State University, and has since worked as a counselor in various school districts and at UC Berkeley in a pre-college access program.
